Create a new Scene

In OBS, click + under Scenes to create a scene for your trivia game (e.g. 'Gwajee').

2

Add a Browser Source

Click + under Sources → Browser. Name it (e.g. 'Game Overlay'). Set the URL to the overlay URL from your lobby.

3

Match the width and height to the overlay size listed above. Check 'Shutdown source when not visible' to save resources.

4

Enable transparent background

For the Leaderboard and TikTok overlays, check 'Page background transparency' in the browser source settings.

5

Position on screen

Drag the browser source to the corner of your preview. Use Alt+drag to crop if needed.

6

Add your webcam on top

Add a Video Capture Device source for your webcam and place it above the overlay in the Sources list.

7

Start game, then go live

Go to your lobby, launch the game, then start your stream. The overlays update automatically in real time.

TikTok Live Tips

From creators who run live trivia weekly.

📱

Go Live on TikTok first, then start the game — your audience will already be watching.

📱

Pin a comment with the join link: 'Join at gwajee.live — Code: BRAIN123'

📱

Show the QR code fullscreen at the start so viewers can scan without leaving TikTok.

📱

Announce the game 15 minutes before going live so followers can prepare.

📱

Use gifts as bonus lives — viewers who send gifts get an extra 30 seconds on wrong answers.

📱

Keep rounds short (8–10 questions) for TikTok's attention span. Multiple rounds work better than one long game.

📱

React live to the leaderboard — call out players by name for engagement.
